Eric Harlamert
Head Boys Soccer Coach

Eric Harlamert graduated from Sidney High School in 1976 and Miami University in 1980. He earned his Masters Degree in education from the College of Mt. Saint Joseph in 1986. Coach Harlamert has taught math at Sidney High School for the past 26 years. Eric has coached the Yellow Jacket Soccer team for 24 years this being his 21st year as head coach. He earned his NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) National Diploma in 1987, and the Advanced National Diploma in 1996. Coach Harlamert was GWOC West and All-Dayton Division I North Coach-of-the-Year in 2004. Eric’s goals for the team are for them to play hard, have fun, and to play fair. He feels athletics should be a positive experience where players are both encouraged and challenged to be their best.

Brad Yinger recorded 10 saves in his 7 shutout of the season. JV: Sidney High School 8 Piqua 0. Brett Rowley had the hat trick 3 goals in the victory Nick Collier had 2 goals and a assist, Ethan Headings and Brian Eck each had a goal and 2 assists, Anthony Ordway had a goal. Jimmy Marsh had 2 assists and Ethan Langhosrt had an assist. Austin Kleinhans recorded his 3rd shut out of the season.

The Sidney High Boys Soccer Team defeated Northmont Tuesday night 1-0 to up their recorder to 6-2-1 and 1-0 in the GWOC North division. Evan Schlagetter scored at the 8:37 of the first half off of a cross from Ben Danklefsen. Brad Yinger, Nick Ernst, Jarrod Woodbury, Chris Gaier, and Mitch Fannon shut down the Northmont offense while the team recorded its 5th shut out of the year. This was a great team effort with all of the players contributing in the victory! JV: Sidney 1 Northmont 4. Sidney High JV Boys lost Tuesday night 4-1 to the Northmont Boys. Brian Eck score the goal of of any assist from Brett Rowley.

Sidney High boys ran into a very tough Hilliard Davidson Team in a 0-3 lost in a Saturday afternoon game. The boys gave a great effort in the loss. Nick Ernst, Chris Gaier, Jarrod Woodbury, and Mitch Fannon, played very well with many defense stops. Brad Yinger had another great game in goal with 13 saves. JV: Sidney 0 Hilliard Davidson 5. Sidney High Boys JV Soccer Team play extremely well in a 0-5 loss to a very good Hilliard Davidson Team Saturday afternoon. Austin Kleinhans had 15 saves in the loss.

Sidney High Boys Soccer up their record to 5-1-1 with a 3-0 shut-out of Lima Shawnee. They boys played very creative in having 3 differant player score, starting with Evan Schlagetter off of a cross from Ben Danklefsen. Then Wataru Nakajima scored off a thru ball from Matt Miller. Ben Danklefsen finished the scoring off from a pass from Chris Gaier. Brad Yinger recorded his 4th shutout of the year and made 9 saves. JV: Sidney 3 Shawnee 1. The Sidney High JV Boys even their record at 3-3 with a 3-1 win over Lima Shawnee. Nick Collier had a goal and assist, Ethan Headings had a goal unassisted, Brett Rowley had a goal, Anthony Ordway had an assist. Austin Kleinhans had a good night in goal with 6 saves Ethan Heading, Ethan Langhorst, and Gage Woolley had great night on the defense with many deflection and interception.

Sidney High Boys dominated the game last night out shouting the Springfield North team 22-0 and out scoring them 6 to 0. Brad Yinger recorded his Third Shutout of the young season. Ben Danklefsen scored 3 goals and had an assist, other goal scorer: Wataru Nakajima, Matt Miller, and Cory Koester. Assisting on the Goals score: Jarrod Woodbury, Matt Miller, Andy Beigel, Marcus Kaszubowski, and Austin Kleinhans.

Sidney Boys Soccer Team lost to a very good Fairmont team last night 3-0. Fairmont D'Amico scored all three of Fairmont goals. Sidney Keeper Brad Yinger had 10 save in the lost. JV: Sidney 0 Fairmont 1. Sidney JV's Boys lost a tough game last night on a late in the game penalty kick which turned out to be the only goaled scored. Austin Kleinhans recorded 10 save in the lost.

Sidney ups it record to 3-0-1 by Beating Xenia. Evan Schlagetter started the scoring off from a cross by Andy Beigel. Ben Danklefsen continue his fine play by scoring 2 goals tonight one unassisted the other off a cross from Matt Miller who also had 2 assists by send a thru ball to Andy Beigel. Cory Koester also added a goal with the assist going to Marcus Kasubowski. Brad Yinger had 5 save in goal. JV: Sidney 4 Xenia 0. The Sidney JV's Boys soccer team even it record at 2-2 with a 4-0 Shutout win over Xenia. Brian Eck led the team with 2 goals and assist, Jarrett Brulport had a goal and assist, Brett Rowley had a goal, Ethan Langhorst, and Ethan Headings each had an assist. Austin Kleinhans and Gauge Woolley combine on the Shutout.

Matt Miller connected on the game winner at the 26:45 of the first half off of an assist from Evan Schlagetter. Jarrod Woodbury added two goals in the second half, off of assists from Ben Danklefsen. Brad Yinger recorded his 2nd shut-out of the season in goal, along with 5 saves. Sidney ups it record to 2-0-1. JV: Sidney 0 Miamisburg 1. Sidney Boys JV Team lost a tough game tonight to Miamisburg 1-0. Hard fought game just could score the equalizer. The JV’s drop to 1-2 on the season.

The Sidney High Boys Soccer Team remains unbeaten by defeating the Slyvania Southview Boys 2-0. Sidney High Boys where once again led by Senior Midfielder Ben Danklefsen who started the scoring at the 5:15 mark of the first half on a header served in by freshman Evan Rees. Cory Koester finished off the scoring at the 24:52 mark of the second half off across by Matt Miller. Goal Keeper Brad Yinger recorded his first shut out of the year and recorded 2 saves. JV: Sidney 2 Sylvania Southview 1. Sidney High JV Boys even its record at 1-1 with a come from behind 2-1 win Saturday afternoon. Southview started the scoring of early in the first period. But the Sidney Boys continue to attack out shouting Southview 12 to 4 and finally even the score at the 11:31 mark of the second half, Nick Collier scored off of a thru ball by Ethan Headings. Nick Collier recorded his second goal at the 8:02 mark of the second period that held up as the game winner Max Bajek had the assist. Goalkeeper Austin Kleinhans recorded 3 saves on the afternoon.

Sidney started the scoring at the 38:31 of the second period off a corner kick by Even Rees to the head of Matt Miller who flicked it to Ben Danklefsen who headed the ball over the Springboro keeper for the first goal of the game. Springboro tied the game at the 4:18 mark of they second period off a corner kick by Ryan Shepherd to the head of Adam Kline at the back post to tie the game. Brad Yinger had an exceptional game in goal for Sidney making a penalty kick save at the 20:32 mark of the first period keeping the half scoreless for both teams. Brad finished the game with 15 saves. JV: Sidney 0 Springboro 2. Sidney's Boys JV team lost a hard fault battle with Springboro last night 2-0. Austin Kleinhans had a great night in Goal making 14 saves many point blank off of breakaways to keep the Sidney JV’s close. Ethan Langhorst and Ethan Headings had a great a game with many defenses stops and shot deflections. Overall, all the Sidney JV players gave an extreme effort in the lost to a very good Springboro Team.
